Prunus padus

Prunus padus, commonly known as bird cherry, is a deciduous tree or large shrub native to Europe and northern Asia. It typically grows to a height of 8-16 meters. The tree features fragrant white flowers arranged in racemes and produces small, bitter black fruits that are enjoyed by birds. The leaves are oval to elliptical, with a pointed tip and finely serrated edges. Prunus padus is often found in moist woodlands, along riverbanks, and in hedgerows.
