Cornus florida – Flowering Dogwood

Cornus florida is a deciduous tree native to eastern North America. It typically reaches heights between 6 to 9 metres (20 to 30 feet) and is renowned for its showy white or pink bracts that surround tiny greenish-yellow flowers in spring, followed by attractive red berries in the autumn.  Curled mid-green leaves turn red-purple in autumn.
