£68.00
Cercis siliquastrum, the Judas tree, is a small deciduous tree native to Southern Europe and Western Asia. It typically grows to a height of about 5 metres in twenty years. The tree is notable for its striking pink to purple pea-like flowers, which bloom directly on the branches and trunk (a phenomenon known as cauliflory) in early spring before the leaves appear. The leaves are heart-shaped, and the fruit is a flat, brown pod.
