Ilex aquifolium ‘Madame Briot’

Ilex aquifolium ‘Madame Briot’ is an attractive female, purple stemmed holly.  Its glossy, dark green leaves are edged with distinctive golden-yellow margins and small white flowers are produced in spring.  Pollination by a male holly, will produce bright red berries in the autumn, which are attractive to birds. ‘Madame Briot’ typically grows to a height of 12 metres.  Its striking variegated foliage gives colour and structure to gardens.
