Tilia cordata ‘Green Spire’

Tilia cordata ‘Green Spire’ is a cultivar of the small-leaved lime, known for its uniform and upright growth habit.  Reaching an ultimate height of between 12 and 15 metres, this deciduous tree produces heart-shaped green leaves with blue-green undersides, turning yellow in the autumn.  Fragrant, creamy yellow flowers in mid-summer attract bees and other pollinators.  ‘Green Spire’ is often used as a street tree or for formal landscaping, such as avenues, due to its compact, symmetrical shape.
