Sorbus hupehensis
Hupeh Rowan
£48.00
Sorbus hupehensis, the Hupeh rowan, is a deciduous tree introduced from Western China in the early 1900s. Growing to a height of between 6 and 8 metres, its pinnate leaves are coloured a beautiful blue-green, turning to shades of red in autumn. In spring, small white clusters of flowers appear, giving way to bunches of small pearl-like white berries, tinged pink. Staying on the tree until late winter, these berries provide seasonal interest as well as a food source for wildlife. Adaptable to a range of soil types and tolerant of urban conditions, this small tree is a good choice for a wide range of locations and uses.
