Pyrus calleryana ‘Chanticleer’

Pyrus calleryana ‘Chanticleer’ is a deciduous ornamental pear known for its upright, pyramidal shape. Reaching a height of between 10 to 12 metres this tree is valued for its show of white blossom and its glossy, green foliage that turns vibrant shades of red and purple in autumn, its leaves remaining on the tree until well into the winter. An extremely popular tree, it is widely used as a street tree in the UK and abroad, and provides good screening due to the longevity of its foliage.
