Prunus serrula – Tibetan Cherry

Prunus serrula, commonly known as the Tibetan cherry or birch bark cherry, is a deciduous tree renowned for its stunning, polished, reddish-brown bark that peels in thin, papery layers, adding year-round interest to the landscape. This medium-sized tree typically grows to a height of 6 to 9 meters. In spring, it produces small, white flowers, which are followed by small, inedible fruits.
