Populus nigra italica – Lombardy Poplar

Populus nigra ‘Italica’, the Lombardy Poplar, is a tall, narrow, columnar tree that can reach heights of 20 to 30 metres. It has a distinctive upright growth habit, with dense, vertical branches that make it popular for creating windbreaks and visual screens. The leaves are triangular to diamond-shaped, turning yellow in autumn. The tree is fast-growing and often used in landscaping for its dramatic vertical accent.
