Pinus omorika – Serbian Spruce

Pinus omorika, the Serbian spruce, is a coniferous evergreen tree native to the mountainous regions of the Balkans, specifically Serbia and Bosnia. This species typically reaches heights of 20 to 30 metres, though in optimal conditions, it can grow up to 40 metres. This spruce is noted for its slender, conical shape and gracefully drooping branches, with dark green needles that have silver undersides, adding to its ornamental appeal. It is often cultivated for use in parks and gardens due to its attractive appearance and adaptability to various soil types.
