Malus trilobata, the Lebanese wild apple, is a conical to spreading, deciduous tree growing to a height of up to 15 metres. This species is characterized by its distinct three-lobed leaves, which turn vibrant red in autumn. Large white flowers appear in spring, followed by tiny, yellowish-green crabs.  Malus trilobata is native to the eastern Mediterranean region and is often found in mountainous areas and forests.
