Malus ‘Golden Hornet’

Malus ‘Golden Hornet’ is an upright variety of crab apple tree known for its decorative appeal.  Growing to a height of about 6-8 metres, this deciduous tree is prized for its abundant small, golden-yellow fruits that persist into winter, adding colour and interest to gardens. In spring, this tree produces clusters of cup-shaped, pink flushed white flowers and in autumn its dark green leaves turn buttery yellow before they fall.  Crab apples are self-fertile and make excellent pollinators for apple trees.
