Malus ‘Direktor Moerland’

Malus ‘Direktor Moerland’ is a beautiful ornamental crab apple tree known for its striking foliage and flowers.  With a height and spread of 5 metres by 4 metres, its bronze-purple leaves emerge in spring maturing to dark green, and its dark purple-pink flowers are followed by cherry like reddish-purple crabs.  These fruits can be used for culinary purposes or left on the tree to provide winter interest and food for the birds.
