Ilex x altaclerensis ‘Golden King’

Ilex ‘Golden King’ is an evergreen shrub or small tree known for its striking variegated foliage. The leaves are glossy with green centres and vibrant golden-yellow margins, adding a splash of colour to gardens year-round. Despite its name, ‘Golden King’ is a female cultivar and can produce red berries if a male pollinator is nearby. This plant typically grows to a height of up to 8 metres  with a spread of 3-5 metres.  It it will thrive in moist but well drained soil in sun or shade and is easy to grow.
