£48.00
Crataegus persimilis ‘Prunifolia’, the plum-leaved or cockspur thorn, is a small thorny tree which unlike other hawthorns has serrated oval leaves. It grows to a height of 5 metres. This species is valued for its attractive clusters of white flowers in spring, followed by deep red berries in late summer, which are often enjoyed by birds. The foliage is green in summer, turning shades of red and orange in the autumn, adding ornamental value to gardens and landscapes.
