At Old Sodbury tree and plant nursery, we are excited to be selling root balled Christmas trees for our second year! A root balled Christmas tree still has it’s roots in a ball of soil, carefully wrapped in burlap or biodegradable sack.
Why choose a root balled Christmas tree?
- Eco-Friendly – Since root balled trees are still alive, they can be replanted after Christmas or kept outside in a pot until next year. This reduces waste and allows the tree to continue absorbing carbon dioxide, which is great for the environment.
- Reusable – If well cared for, a root-balled tree can survive the winter and grow over the years giving you a sustainable, cost-effective decoration.
- Fresher – A root balled tree is more likely to retain its needles and stay green for longer than a cut tree, which can dry out and start dropping needles quickly.
- Adds to garden aesthetics – After Christmas, the tree can become a beautiful, long-term addition to your garden. You can plant it outdoors and watch it grow year by year, creating memories for your family.
- Supports Wildlife – Once planted outdoors, the tree can provide habitat and shelter for wildlife, especially birds, during the colder months.
Prices start from £45 and we offer a potting service. Pop in and take a look at our lovely trees.
