Pinus omorika – Serbian Spruce

Pinus omorika, commonly known as the Serbian spruce, is a coniferous evergreen tree native to the mountainous regions of the Balkans, specifically Serbia and Bosnia. This species typically reaches heights of 20 to 30 meters, though in optimal conditions, it can grow up to 40 meters. The Serbian spruce is noted for its slender, conical shape and gracefully drooping branches, with dark green needles that have silver undersides, adding to its ornamental appeal.
